The standard 1 RU form factor allows these products to be easily installed in standard rack systems incorporating extended systems and solutions (for example, data storage NAS and SAN systems). Alternatively, the units can operate free standing using the supplied rubber feet.

Unmanaged operation and fast boot-up means connectivity can be achieved within minutes. As all ports auto-negotiate to the right speed (10 or 100), all is needed is to power up the unit and connect the end stations.
