The 3Com Switch 4070 is a Maximum-Flexibility Switch for Enterprise-Class Building-Level Core Switching. The 3Com Switch 4070 offers high-availability, multilayer Gigabit Ethernet switching for the network backbone in a fixed configuration unit. It provides maximum media flexibility with 24 SFP slots.

The Switch 4070 supports 3Com's patented XRN technology allowing you to quickly build a fully redundant server farm or network core solution out of a pair of 3Com Gigabit switches delivering high resiliency without complexity. The switch has a durable metal chassis a compact, 2RU-high rack-mountable unit. Its SFP (Small Form Factor Plug-in) ports accommodate 3Com 1000BASE-SX SFP (3CSFP91), 1000BASE-LX SFP (3CSFP92) and 1000BASE-LH (3CSFP97) transceivers.
